Inventory management: how it works
-
Add your items
Set up products with SKUs or barcodes, locations, and reorder points.
-
Order and receive
Raise purchase orders and link them to the stock you receive.
-
Sell and move stock
Sales and transfers update stock levels and cost of goods sold automatically.
-
Restock on time
Reorder alerts tell you when an item drops below its reorder point.
Stock and accounts that always agree
In many businesses the stock register and the accounts are kept separately — and they rarely match. Someone has to reconcile them every month, and the cost of goods sold is estimated rather than known.
In Finivo.pk inventory and accounting are the same system. Every stock movement automatically updates your inventory ledger and your cost of goods sold, so your profit figures reflect what you actually sold, at what it actually cost. No double entry, no month-end reconciliation between two registers.
Know what you have, where it is, and when to reorder
- Real-time stock levels for every item
- Reorder point alerts so you restock before you run out
- Multi-warehouse and multi-location tracking for businesses with more than one store or godown
- Barcode and SKU management to identify items quickly and accurately
- Purchase orders linked to inventory receipts, so what you ordered and what arrived are tied together
Low stock alerts also appear on your business dashboard.
Choose your costing method
How you value stock changes your cost of goods sold and your profit. Finivo.pk supports three costing methods:
- FIFO (first in, first out)
- LIFO (last in, first out)
- Weighted average
Our guide to inventory costing methods in Pakistan explains the difference. The Inventory Valuation and Cost of Goods Sold reports in financial reports show the result.
